Specific methods to manage the change

Aside from traditional operational methods, the creation of the University of Strasbourg follows specific project-related approaches:

A leverage effect, to let the main missions of the University develop on a voluntary basis, according to a political orientation defined by the University of Strasbourg. Different working teams identify and suggest priority actions for the period 2009-2012, aimed at the main university domains and missions (such as student life, reference material, IT and communication). The management commission will be in charge of these priority actions, which will play a major role in the forthcoming University of Strasbourg.

A project approach, aimed at re-organising the main management procedures, by associating department staffs to project planning and implementation. The general secretaries will define workload schedule according to University’s political goals.
